A delegation from the Ministry of Defence conducted a bench-marking visit on the 17th July 2026 to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare systems within military health facilities.

The delegation was led by Brigadier (Dr.) David Chepsiror, Chief Clinical Services , accompanied by the Deputy Director Ulinzi Health Services Fund (UHSF) Col. Mutinda, among other senior officers. The team was received by the Chief Executive Officer of KNH, Dr. Richard Lesiyampe, CBS.

The visit focused on key operational areas including Human Resource Management, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Claims Management, and Debt Management. It provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, allowing the Ministry of Defence to benchmark best practices and explore strategies for enhancing efficiency, service delivery, and sustainability within its healthcare institutions.

The Ministry of Defence reaffirmed its commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration with leading public health institutions to ensure high standards of care for service members and their dependants.
